You don’t even need to have a garage sale to get involved in this year’s festival of pre-loved stuff.
The Trail Tutorials bring together a cast of fashion, finance and sustainability experts over two big days of free online workshops on 6-7 November.

This 40 minute session will have you stitching up a dream with tips on how to repurpose fabric scraps and turn old clothes new again. You can even craft-along as Daisy shows us how to create cute as a button bunting using secondhand fabrics.
Daisy Braid is a sewing blogger and maker from the Gold Coast who shares free sewing patterns and tutorials on her blog to encourage and inspire makers of all levels to DIY their dream wardrobe.

This 40-minute session is perfect for beginners. You’ll learn how to source cheap items on a shoe-string budget, where to sell your creations, and how to develop your own style and skills.
Whether it’s to update items for your own space, a desire to repurpose items and save the planet, or to get yourself a side hustle where you can earn serious money, Kelly Armati from Shiner Creative Workshops will inspire you to get started and give it a go.

This practical 40 minute session will guide you through the essentials of social selling and get you prepped to sell up a storm on the virtual Garage Sale Trail with insider tips on what and how to sell through your social media channels.
